The Instrument Rating
Having your instrument rating is like taking a defensive driving course. It makes you a safer and more capable pilot. The Instrument Rating gives a pilot the tools and the skills to be able to navigate through adverse weather and conditions that are less than ideal. At Piston2Jet we focus not only on the modern techniques and avionics in instrument flying, but also raw data navigational skills like mastering the art of using VOR's, flying arcs, performing holds, and strengthening our student's ability to perform essential IFR calculations with ease.

As a necessary step in becoming a professional pilot the instrument rating is as challenging as it is rewarding. To know that you can get in and out of airports that many other pilots can't is great peace of mind when flying to new and unfamiliar destinations.
